The End

07/05/06 - ALthough MEL is great fun I seem to have run out of space. My faithful old Mini Cooper P367NET has returned and with the theft of a second MGZR120+ from my drive way in two years I have decided to retain her as my works car. This means the garage is a bit cramped and unfortunately MEL is the one who has to go. Always thought people were pulling my leg when they told me the number plate was worth more than the car. Decided to get it valued and looks like they were right. So the number plate is up for sale seperately. Went to Himley Hall to the Mini show, managed to find another hub cap so fitted that. Also picked up a water temperature sensor so hopefully can get that working now. Put a FOR SALE sign in her window, a low key selling approach at the moment, wait and see what happens. 21/06/06 Got a new registration so MEL is now NOP441F, sure she won't mind too much as she gets a nice new pair of number plates. Temperature gauge does work now and keeps good control. Due to circumstances partly in my control I have also to sell 'Peanut' who returned from a sabbatical with my paremts recently. She is a 1997 twin injection Mini Cooper in good old British Racing Green. I added stainless wheeltrims, wipers and washers; walnut door and rear window cappings, door pulls and centre console;, alloy winders and handles; chrome lock surrounds, vents and bezels and a full Cooper carpet set when I bought her new and all are still in tip top condition. She has done 50,000 miles with all MOT's and some service history, taxed until November 2006, MOT'd until May 2007. Looking for £3250 or best offer. Email ray@raycook.co.uk if interested.
